Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in pastry arts, creativity in dessert development, and the ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and present desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
- Develop new desserts and seasonal offerings
- Manage pastry station operations and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Ensure all pastries and desserts meet quality, presentation, and taste standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry kitchen and equipment
- Minimize waste while maintaining quality
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training in pastry arts
- [2-5 years] of experience as a pastry chef or in pastry production
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and flavor combinations
- Proficiency in cake decorating
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of current dessert trends and techniques
